Hologram on the Cialis folding box
On Cialis packages there is a hologram in which stylized outlines of Cialis® tablets iridesce back and forth when the box is moved. If the hologram is missing or does not change when moved, this may indicate drug counterfeiting.
In August 2012, the safety features of Cialis® packaging were updated and the packaging with the new safety features is now on the German market.
Seal as Cialis originality seal
Both flaps are closed with a transparent seal bearing a colored logo. If the seal is missing or damaged, this may indicate a drug counterfeit.
The seal used since 2012 carries the Cialis®-logo and two opposite lock symbols.
Lilly logo on the Cialis blister pack
The foil side of the blister bears an ink logo of Lilly, which shows the lettering "Lilly". When a blister edge is moved, the color of the oval changes from green, to blue, to pink.
If the logo is missing or the color of the logo does not change when turned over, this could indicate a drug counterfeit.
Also pay attention to the number of tablets in the pack. Only packs of 4, 8, 12 or 28 (active ingredient 5 mg) tablets are available from Lilly.
Almond shaped Cialis tablet form
Cialis® tablets are light yellow and almond-shaped. Tablets of strength 5 mg have "C 5" embossed on one side, tablets of strength 10 mg have "C 10" embossed on one side. Tablets of strength 20 mg have "C 20" embossed accordingly. The reverse side of the tablets does not bear any embossing.
Cialis® is available worldwide only as a light yellow, almond-shaped tablet. The active ingredient is not available in capsule or powder form. If your product does not match this picture, it is probably a counterfeit.
